Urban Design Group Senior Team Members Invited to Judge Student Architectural Projects at ITT Technical Institute’s First Design Expo

ITT Tech invited two senior team members from Urban Design Group to review student architectural projects as part of the first ITT Design Expo on February 17, 2011. William J. Richardson, AIA, Senior Associate, and Carter Moore, Associate, will participate in judging the submittals.

Two senior team members with Urban Design Group will help juror student architectural projects at the first ITT Design Expo on February 17, 2011 at the Richardson, TX campus of ITT Technical Institute. William J. Richardson, AIA, Senior Associate, and Carter Moore, Associate, will assist in selecting winners based on the following criteria: Most Creative Design, Most Professional Presentation and Best Design.

ITT Technical Institute is a leading private college system offering technology-oriented programs at over 125 campuses nationwide, including the Richardson, TX campus. ITT Tech helps match students with employers by hosting events such as the Design Expo and by coordinating job fairs, interviews and offering potential employers with pre-screened resumes.

Richardson is the Studio Director in the Dallas office. He has over 30 years of experience in a wide range of architectural projects. A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Richardson chaired the joint national committee of the AIA and Boy Scouts of America to revise and update the Architecture Merit Badge. In addition to involvement in several other community organizations, including the City of Mesquite, Richardson has continually dedicated his time to the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a Scoutmaster, Adult Leader and advisor.

Moore joined UDG after receiving his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arkansas in 1997. Two short years later Moore was named Associate, the youngest in the firm’s history. With over a decade of experience, Moore has played a pivotal role in several of the firm’s key projects. Passionate for architecture both in and out of the office, he was recently named Crew Chief for Habitat for Humanity. In addition, he is on the board for the South Collin County chapter and takes part in reviewing new house plans and assisting with architectural modifications. Passing his love of architecture on to his daughter, the two of them enjoy watching “This Old House” every Thursday night.
