A&D Medical and Weighing, a designer and manufacturer of precision measurement products for the healthcare, laboratory and industrial markets, needed a major digital brand transformation consistent with its market leadership in telemedicine products and services, as well as its solid reputation with its weighing products. A&D chose dystrick design to accomplish this monumental task. They selected dystrick to create a digital brand and ecommerce platform befitting of a market leader.
All dystrick's core competencies; from market & brand research and information management to design and application development, were utilized to deploy a robust site of medical & weighing products and services for end-users, dealers, partners, and media. dystrick's research & development phase included the standard series of workshops, brainstorming sessions, interviews and market and competitor research, but also included in-depth architectural diligence of the many internal & external workflows that needed to be addressed and managed. Design-wise, the challenge was to take a data-intensive site and make it palatable and at the same time, to create an open, pleasing, unique and inviting platform. The custom back-end platform had to support multiple internal and external user groups; each with unique needs and responsibilities, plus manage all of the products, documents and related assets.
- Internal audit and analysis of the A&D products and market space
- Create an open, refreshing design and scalable information architecture to support the many A&D products and initiatives
- Promote a flexible buying environment that emphasizes active and preferred sellers
- Build a complete secure and customized e-Commerce platform
- Architect a fully customized Content Management and Communication Center for several A&D groups to manage the areas of the site they are assigned to
The End Result:
"dystrick was able to respond and capture our brand expectations and ensure that our site finally matched the engineering superiority that we have been known for in our target market for decades. This endeavor added new life to our products by allowing each of our products to stand front and center and will allow people to really appreciate the functionality and mechanics of our products”, said Ed Siemens, A&D Marketing & Sales Director. "The success of this project was immediate. Internally, we are rejuvenated as a company with our new online presence. Externally, our business partners are excited that we have improved how we drive customers to them. And, our customers are thrilled to have in-depth product information available for download with a simple click of their mouse."
"Initially, this was three sites with three different groups with three different initiatives and goals," said Sean Sinatra, Managing Director at dystrick. "dystrick took an extensive project and pulled it all under one roof that is one continuous A&D brand."
