ARC announced today that Campbell Resources, Ltd., one of the top 20 largest privately-owned travel management solutions company in the United States, will be a launch partner for ARC Sentry real-time fraud scoring. ARC made the announcement at the Travel Weekly LeisureWorld Conference, currently taking place in Las Vegas.

Campbell Resources will join El Al Israel Airlines as an ARC Sentry launch partner, providing valuable usability feedback to optimize the product for the travel industry.
ARC Sentry, which is powered by the Interceptas® fraud prevention platform from Accertify, Inc., is scheduled for general availability early in the second quarter of 2011.

ARC Sentry offers agencies a cost-effective way to employ a leading fraud prevention system for direct sales channel, similar to the type used at large online travel agencies, by taking advantage of a group purchasing program under ARC. “ARC Sentry is a flexible and powerful solution to the problem of fraudulent transactions,” said David Heard, president of finance at Campbell Resources. “And ARC’s consolidated buying model helps level the playing field by making it more affordable for agencies of all sizes to have the protection they need from susceptibility to fraud. We look forward to working with ARC as a launch partner for this unique offering.”

ARC Sentry helps travel agencies and carriers effectively mitigate fraud and drastically reduce credit card chargebacks. Using a real-time Web-based fraud-scoring tool, users can prioritize and review high-risk "card not present" transactions. Responses are typically returned for review within minutes via a secure website. ARC Sentry can be applied to pre- or post-ticketing data.

“We are very excited to have Campbell Resources as our first launch partner from the travel agent community,” said Dottie Hogan, senior manager, fraud prevention at ARC. “ARC has worked closely with Accertify to construct a world-class, yet cost-effective, fraud prevention scoring solution. We know that, once released, ARC Sentry will prove itself as a must-have to guard against activity that can leave agencies ‘on the hook’ for fraud-instigated transactions.”
