Invites Consumers to Use Private Video Sharing Service to Send Love in the Cloud™

Kadoo invites romantics worldwide to capture their feelings in video and send love in the cloud this Valentine's Day.

Kadoo, Inc., a cloud-based video sharing service today announced a new way to connect with those you love on Valentine‘s Day. The free consumer service — which streams HD video from the Web to smartphones, tablets, TVs, and computers — invites romantics worldwide to capture their feelings in video and send love in the cloud.

“Using video to express how you feel about someone adds a personal and heart-felt touch to the holiday of love,” remarks Donna Hemmert, CMO of Kadoo. “And, it’s really easy to do if you have a smartphone with a video camera. A person can sign up for a Kadoo account, shoot, upload and share their video—all during their lunch break. The video is delivered directly to your loved one. They’ll receive an email with a link to a preview page where they can view the video. By using Kadoo's service, people can feel assured that their message can be private. It really is that simple!”

Kadoo’s founders believe that consumers have a fundamental right to online privacy, and designed the service to give people ownership and control over their files and information. Files uploaded to Kadoo default to a private setting and are not indexable by Google or other search engines. Files shared between subscribers within the Kadoo service remain private. People can also choose to publish or share their videos publicly.

Kadoo is built on Kadoo Backstage™, the company’s open-source APIs to enable previously incompatible devices and platforms to work together from anywhere. Apps for the iPhone®, iPad™, Android®, and Roku® digital video player are available in beta.
