Up-and-coming pop rock sensation MEGG has been added to the Musink Tattoo and Music Festival at the Orange County Fairgrounds on March 6th. MEGG will be opening for Hot Water Music, and The Used. The festival is presented by KROQ, GoldenVoice, and BreakThru Entertainment.
MEGG’s ability to connect with her fans through her lyrics, vocals, and artistry is already creating buzz in the music industry. MEGG was recently interviewed by the USC Daily Trojan, and was featured in the February and March edition of Substream Music Press.
MEGG released her first EP titled "The EP" on October 31, 2010, available exclusively on iTunes. “The EP” is a mixture of pop, rock and punk, with loud guitars, memorable hooks, and mind-blowing vocal ranges.
MEGG’s music video for her single “Break Up With Her” debuted on YouTube on December 1st, 2010, and has already been viewed by thousands of fans.
MEGG is currently recording her second EP slated for release in Summer of 2011, and is also booking 2011 tour dates. MEGG, whose full name is Meghan Mahowald, draws from her unique personal journey and Southern California upbringing to fuel her music. Meghan was accepted into the Popular Music Program at the exclusive Thornton School of Music at USC with just four other vocalists. At just 20 years old, there are few musical artists in the world that have the sheer vocal power and dynamic performance energy of MEGG.
MEGG is also actively involved with her charity work, including her role as Vice President of the B.I.Y.A.Y.C.D.A Foundation (Believe In Yourself And You Can Do Anything)
