Turbulenz is the creator of a revolutionary browser-based game network. Based on HTML5 JS technology, Turbulenz is an end-to-end technology, monetization, and web-based distribution platform that enables developers and publishers to reach larger audiences with quality games in a post-console era. The Turbulenz Game Network is a web destination offering new ways for game players to interact with their friends and favorite games across different devices.
"The Turbulenz Game Network will let game players around the world get instant access to high quality game content that was previously limited to console owners. I'm excited to see how developers will push the boundaries in this new era of games to combine quality game play with social networking to allow for revolutionary new experiences," James Austin, Turbulenz CEO.
During GDC 2011 in San Francisco February 28th to March 4th, Turbulenz will be holding private meetings to demonstrate the Turbulenz Game Network. Launching later this year, Turbulenz is funding development of some titles and also partnering with publishers to bring both existing and new content to the Turbulenz Game Network.
Turbulenz was founded in 2009 by former directors and engineers from Electronic Arts and received its first round of funding in 2010. Since then the team has expanded rapidly with the addition of developers and business leaders from some of the world's most successful entertainment companies such as Apple, Sony, Google and Square Enix.
