To accommodate record sales growth, Vantis Life Insurance Company today announced a restructuring of its field operations with the goal of continuing the high level of customer support that resulted in a 22 percent increase in recurring life insurance sales last year.
“To sustain the level of growth we are experiencing, it was necessary to adjust our field operations to make sure we maintain constant customer support on both the regional and national level,” said Craig Simms, senior vice president at Vantis Life. “Our recurring life insurance sales rose by 22 percent last year and we saw a jump of 170 percent in single premium life insurance sales in 2010 over 2009. Early indications are that 2011 will show even greater growth in new premiums.”
To accommodate the growth and maintain the high level of support that Vantis Life customers have come to expect, key individuals within the company have been repositioned:
Lou Mastroianni, based in the Company’s Windsor, Connecticut home office, was named Regional Vice President, National Accounts. He will manage the company’s largest and/or most complex and demanding accounts, designing strategies and business plans for increasing premium levels across all product lines. Mastroianni had been Regional Vice President for the Northeast Region and joined the Company in 2000.
Wilmer Little, based near Tyler, Texas, was named Regional Vice President, Business Development. He will be responsible for business development and overall relationship management in the Southern Region. He will also manage the Company’s relationship with LPL/UVest. Little had been Regional Vice President for the Southern, Midwest and Western regions and joined the Company in 2007.
Darcy Kleman, based near Chicago, Illinois, was named Manager of Business Development, responsible for business development and overall relationship management in the north and west regions. In addition to these duties, she will also manage the Company’s relationship with PrimeVest. Kleman had been the New Business Development Manager for these regions prior to the realignment. Kleman, who had been a Key Accounts Manager at Allstate, joined the Company in 2010.
Christopher Kelly was named Manager of National Wholesaling and Business Development Manager, Northeast. He will have overall responsibility for managing Vantis Life’s wholesaling resources nationwide. He also will coordinate wholesaling and training efforts, and manage new business development in the northeast. Prior to joining Vantis Life in 2010 as a Regional Director, Kelly spent 24 years with The Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company. He is based in the company’s headquarters.
Christine Stark, who had been an Internal Wholesaler at Vantis Life, is now Senior Internal Wholesaler and Project Manager.
