Banyan Branch, a leading agency for social media strategy and engagement, today announced that Seattle-based non-profit Mona Foundation is the firm’s 2011 pro-bono client.

Banyan Branch, a leading agency for social media strategy and engagement, today announced that Seattle-based non-profit Mona Foundation is the firm’s 2011 pro-bono client.

Mona is the perfect partner organization for us and we’re excited to help them achieve their goals through social media.”

Banyan Branch allowed its social media fans and followers to drive much the search for its 2011 pro-bono client. After an open call for nominations through Banyan’s Social Blog, and Twitter and Facebook profiles, over 50 non-profits applied and three were selected for for voting on the Banyan Social Blog. All three non-profits rallied their supporters through Twitter, Facebook, email and more to vote.

"This could not be a better opportunity and timing for Mona Foundation,” said Sarah Rohm, Mona Foundation’s director of public relations. “We are at a turning point in our growth and focusing heavily on social media this year, we are really thrilled to be able to partner with Banyan Branch. We are confident that with their services we will build a good foundation for social media and in turn be able to expand our reach to children and women around the world even further."
