BigHand, the leading voice productivity vendor in the legal community and recent winner of ALB Magazine’s Dictation & Transcription ‘Service Provider of the Year”, today announced that Adelaide-based law firm, Norman Waterhouse has successfully deployed the BigHand for iPhone4 mobile solution across its entire business, after a successful trial period.
The iPhone4 solution from BigHand has enabled Norman Waterhouse’s lawyers to be more responsive in meeting clients’ needs. This has allowed the firm to further embrace its long standing values of exceeding clients’ expectations, via the use of cutting edge technology. An important aspect to high quality legal service is the ability to turn client’s requests around in as short a time frame as possible. Having a mobile solution that allows lawyers to dictate remotely reduces response time in clients getting the answers they need.
As the first Australian law firm to integrate the BigHand iPhone4 mobile solution throughout their business, Norman Waterhouse is very pleased with its ability to better service clients. IT Manager at Norman Waterhouse, Marc Lok, has been delighted with the investment in BigHand’s software solution:
“The rollout of BigHand followed a detailed research process to replace our old digital system. We needed not just a mobile solution for our lawyers but also a mature, enterprise-level product that had been fully tested in the market and would grow with our needs. In the end, for the legal sector, there was only one choice.”
BigHand has now become an integral part of Norman Waterhouse’s in-house technology platform and Marc has received excellent feedback for their users:
“In implementing this change, we have been extremely impressed with BigHand. They are one of the best suppliers we have ever worked with and the after sales support we receive is second to none. Our lawyers have embraced BigHand too, working more efficiently, both in and out of the office. The next stage for us is training the server-based speech recognition module. This will further increase efficiency, ultimately resulting in a better value outcome for our clients.”
This new system of dictation means that when lawyers are away from the office they can dictate remotely and make valuable use of their time. This not only provides savings to clients but also provides a faster turnaround time and therefore a higher level of service to clients.
Sean Stephens, BigHand’s ANZ National Sales Manager, also commented:
“Norman Waterhouse’s lawyers work in a highly demanding environment and often need to work remotely. In addition, their legal secretaries were dedicating a significant amount of time transcribing dictation via the old methods. BigHand was able to offer them a ‘work from anywhere’ solution to their mobility problem, allowing them to switch to the iPhone4, as well as leverage the workflow solution and productivity tools. We are delighted that our technical expertise and customer experience also continues to be acknowledged throughout our expanding client base. With the upcoming release of BigHand4, which will introduce exciting key features such as server based voice-to-text add-ons and advanced mobile email integration, we look forward to giving our clients the freedom to get more done.”
