Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, announced the list of 2010 Sitecore Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs), which included Sean Connell – Verndale’s Engineering Manager. The program recognizes exceptional technical community leaders who encourage free and objective exchange of knowledge by actively sharing their real-world Web CMS expertise. For 2010, twenty outstanding individuals from around the world were selected to be members of the program.
Individuals were nominated by Sitecore employees from around the world, and were reviewed by a board of Sitecore executives. The Sitecore judges evaluated articles, blogs and other content that addresses the challenges of development and information architecture. In addition, judges reviewed attendance and influence at events and training sessions, depth and frequency of posts in Sitecore Developer’s Forum and overall technical advocacy.
“The Sitecore MVP program recognizes those exceptional technology community leaders who actively evangelize and share their CMS knowledge with the Sitecore community,” said Lars Fløe Nielsen, VP, Technical Marketing, Sitecore. “With the MVP awards we want to thank these individuals for helping Sitecore users maximize the potential of their CMS platform and for advancing the entire community.”
The program offers members a number of benefits including access to technical resources such as alpha versions of Sitecore software, first release modules and full access to the Sitecore Developer Network and download section and invitations to major events. The term for Sitecore MVPs is two years, after which time, individuals can be nominated again.
