Colligo wishes to congratulate Nishan DeSilva and everyone involved in the LCA Group's SharePoint project on receiving this prestigious award
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) February 17, 2011
Colligo Networks Inc., the leader in email and document management solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, congratulates Microsoft’s Legal and Corporate Affairs (LCA) Group on receiving the 2010 Legal Technology News (LTN) Award for most innovative use of technology in a legal department. The LTN innovation awards recognize the efforts of individuals, firms, and law departments that are pushing beyond the edges of current legal technology. The award was accepted by Nishan DeSilva, Microsoft’s Director of Information Management and Corporate Records Compliance during the 2011 LegalTech Conference recently held in New York, NY.
The LCA Group received the award based on their internal project to utilize SharePoint 2010 as the cornerstone for a new document and records management system to support 12 practice groups and 1,000 users. The new system developed on SharePoint 2010 enables LCA to reduce the number of different information sites and streamline the processes and permissions to use them. The new system also helps users to easily move emails from Outlook to SharePoint and to access SharePoint-based information from inside of Outlook.
