Attorney Troy Doucet is offering a free seminar to help homeowners navigate the foreclosure process in court. This seminar will feature an overview of the foreclosure process in Ohio, and show homeowners how to employ the most widely used foreclosure defenses without an attorney. It will feature tools that foreclosure defense attorneys commonly employ, like having the lender “produce the note.” It will also cover holding servicers accountable for broken promises during the loan modification process, and ensuring the servicer provides the proper disclosures before it forecloses. Seminar attendees will be provided a packet of information with forms they can use directly in court, including a sample Answer to the foreclosure action, which must be filed within 28 days of being served a copy of the Ohio foreclosure lawsuit.

Troy Doucet is an attorney who practices in foreclosure defense and consumer litigation in Columbus, Ohio. He is the author of "23 Legal Defenses to Foreclosure: How to Beat the Bank," and regularly consults nationally with attorneys who practice in foreclosure defense. Mr. Doucet graduated magna cum laude from Capital University Law School and is licensed in Ohio’s state and federal courts.
