BrightHouse, the national ‘rent-to-own’ retail chain specialising in the sale of TV/audio, household appliances, furniture and technology products, has selected Bestoutcome’s project and portfolio management solution, PM3, to manage its change projects. After an initial trial, PM3 has been rolled out across IT and a number of business departments.

BrightHouse has expanded rapidly in the last few years and in addition to rapid growth is constantly changing its business to respond to new opportunities and changes in consumer behaviour, and to become more efficient. The number of projects has grown accordingly. This increased project workload both in IT and in the business has led to the need for a consolidated and objective view of all projects.

PM3 has a pedigree in retail and was chosen after positive recommendations from other Bestoutcome customers and a successful trial across BrightHouse IT and the business.

Neil Walker, Head of IT at BrightHouse says, “We have already seen the benefit in using PM3 in our IT and Change Delivery functions. We now have greater transparency of projects, a unified way of managing and reporting project progress, and can intervene early to ensure positive project outcomes.”

David Walton, CEO of Bestoutcome commented, “Bestoutcome’s web-based PM3 enables companies like BrightHouse to reap the benefits of projects by planning and managing change in a structured way that is visible and transparent to all the stakeholders. It enables senior management to understand the real progress and predicted benefits by objectively measuring the status of projects. Delivering the scale of change that most retailers are facing in an efficient way represents an excellent return on investment."
