Michael Lohan and the Walsh’s like many other parents, are alarmed with our nation’s growing rate of adolescent drug use and the subsequent tragedies occurring as a result of teen drug abuse. Michael Lohan, the Walsh’s, and the staff of Inspirations Teen Rehab are fulfilling their mission to speak about the dangers of teenage substance abuse and reach out to parents who are desperately seeking direction on how to approach this current trend of teen prescription drug addiction and risky teen behaviors.

Michael Lohan, father of Hollywood Celebrity and Actress Lindsey Lohan and talented children Ali, Cody, and Michael Lohan Jr. will arrive in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Monday February 21, 2011. Michael Lohan is visiting South Florida to speak with teenagers who are participating in the nationally known and parent recommended residential teen rehab program, Inspirations for Youth and Families. Michael Lohan is a parent who has raised children and experienced the journey of adolescent behavior and growth. He is fulfilling his promise to his daughter Lindsey Lohan, to help teenagers and their families survive the difficult years of adolescent decision making and societal challenges that often impede on the healthy development of teens and their transition into young adulthood and preparation for life.

Inspirations’ Co-Founders Christopher Walsh and Karen Corcoran Walsh created a unique approach in working with teenagers and their families. Inspirations for Youth and Families aka Inspirations Teen Rehab, is a licensed residential treatment center for teens ages 13 to 18 and their families, who are struggling with the chaos of teen behaviors combined with drug or alcohol use, abuse, or addiction. Recent national attention on the life threatening drugs available to teens has ignited a fire of retaliation through the prevention and treatment of drug abuse and addiction by Michael Lohan and the professionals of Inspirations. They are further supported by recent actions taken to ban bath salts, by states including Florida and California. Bath salts is the newest form of readily available and deadly household products that are used as a drug, with effects similar to cocaine and methamphetamine.
