After years of remarkable success in the Southern California and Pacific Northwest markets, K1 Speed – the nation’s largest indoor go kart racing enterprise – is opening its newest location in Phoenix, Arizona, bringing the excitement of indoor karting and entertainment to a brand new area of the country. The 50,000 sq. ft. indoor kart racing facility features a professionally-designed racetrack, high performance electric karts that are capable of reaching speeds of 45 mph, and a wide collection of authentic racing memorabilia.

K1 Speed is pleased and privileged to announce that its partner, Boris Said, one of NASCAR’s preeminent “Road course ringers” and respected mentor and an accomplished endurance race champion driver will be officially opening the new K1 Speed Phoenix facility on Saturday, February 26th, 2011. He will spend the evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM signing autographs and talking to customers, racing enthusiasts, and invited guests alike.

Additionally Frank Stoddard, 14-time winning NASCAR Sprint Cup crew chief and now NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race team owner, will also be attending the event. He will be joined by his #32 Ford Fusion driver, Mike Skinner, former champion and one of the toughest drivers in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series who has justly earned the name “The Gunslinger”. K1 Speed will be sponsoring the #32 Ford Fusion for the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway to help commemorate the opening of the new K1 Speed Phoenix Indoor Kart Racing center.

K1 Speed Phoenix will welcome novice and seasoned adult drivers, as well as children who meet the 483 height requirement, to enjoy an authentic racing experience and atmosphere. The center’s large indoor kart track features a challenging combination of long straights and hairpin turns for true racing thrills. Everyone’s performance is recorded by the real-time K1 Speed Race Scoring system, which seamlessly integrates all K1 Speed locations, so racers will see their fastest lap time, their average lap time, and how their performance stacks up against competitors in addition to how they rank among more than 1,000,000 K1 Speed drivers to date.

Visitors to the center will also be able to lounge comfortably in the spacious lobby and to explore an unparalleled collection of official racing memorabilia such as authentic race suits, helmets and race-driven cars. K1 Speed Phoenix also has on-site meeting facilities, which can be rented for corporate events, team building exercises, product launches or private parties.

K1 Speed Phoenix is conveniently located for residents of the Greater Phoenix area, including those in Phoenix, Glendale, Tempe, Scottsdale, Peoria, Mesa, Chandler, Buckeye and Avondale. For more information, visit http://www.K1Speed.com.
