Who says losing weight can’t be fun?

Fitness & Vine Retreat, a new fitness retreat in Sonoma County, is aiming to help guests not only to get in shape and lose weight but also have the time of their life while doing it.

Nestled amid the rolling patchwork of vineyards, miles of coast line and 13,000 acres of scenic parkland that make up the San Francisco Bay area, Fitness & Vine Retreat specializes in providing guests with a results-driven fitness and weight-loss program that sets guests on the path for long-term success.

But that’s not all the retreat offers, it also provides vacation-style recreational activities that take full advantage of the breathtaking beauty of the San Francisco bay area and Sonoma wine country showing guests how wonderful it can be to live an active lifestyle. It is where boot camp meets fitness vacation. For example, while staying at Fitness & Vine Retreat guests can Hike Angel Island, explore Armstrong redwood forest, paddle the Russian River, and take walks or bike rides along the rolling fields and country lanes of the area’s many vineyards.

“Our goal in establishing this retreat was to first and foremost provide our guests with an intensive fitness program that gets results but then we also wanted to go above and beyond that by providing a wide variety of fun fitness activities that would make the entire experience an enjoyable one. There is no reason why fitness can’t be fun. Not everyone enjoys going to a gym and it is important to learn that you can get fit by doing outdoor activities you enjoy,” said Fitness & Vine Treat Owner Stacie Sherman.

In addition to enjoying recreational opportunities in postcard-worthy settings, all Fitness & Vine Retreat guests receive an exercise program customized to their fitness level, access to a first-class local health club, guidance from experienced trainers, psychologists and nutrition experts, personal attention in a small group setting, classes on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits, whole food meals that have been designed for their dietary needs and much more.

“Our guests will be amazed at how much fun they have losing weight,” Sherman said. “But our retreat is not just about having fun. We provide guests with the intensive and personalized fitness program they need to lose weight fast and our expert staff makes sure all guests leave with the practical nutrition and fitness information and the life skills necessary to continue to lose weight – and keep it off – when they get back home.”

“The bottom line is there is no better investment than in your health,” Sherman said. “And we believe there is no better place to start making that investment than here at Fitness & Vine Retreat.”
