Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) February 22, 2011
Robin Rukab is hosting an “Old Fashioned” Barbecue on Sunday, February 27th which is open to all media and citizens interested in learning more about her platform. The FREE event will be held at The Ramallah Club of Jacksonville located at 3130 Parental Home Rd from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. She invites all concerned voters to attend.
Robin is a veteran of the Jacksonville Consumer Affairs Department and has served under the administrations of four different mayors. She says that she knows how to get things done downtown and wants to represent the consumer in our municipal government.
“My fundamental belief is that government is here to serve the citizens, and not for the citizens to serve the government. My passion is simply to be the voice for you (the citizens of Jacksonville).” She says we are faced with a myriad of problems and experienced people, like herself, need to be elected to fix the mess we now have.
“My primary focus will be on consumer protection, creating more jobs, lowering taxes, education and adding more youth programs, cultivating small business and protecting our senior citizens. Our beautiful St. Johns River and Downtown need our immediate attention.”
While she thinks that the tough economic times are to blame for many of the issues we now face, she also believes that the right officials can navigate us through these murky waters with prosperity on the other side. “We are faced with many problems and common sense leadership at the helm will make all of the difference.”
Robin would really like a big turnout for the barbecue so she can hear the issues concerning the citizens of Duval County.
