TrainCaster LMS just announced its latest release of its learning management software. This release includes major upgrades to content formatting options, course control, and automated reporting.

TrainCaster LMS, a Boston-based provider of Learning Management Software, announces a major new release of its software. This upgrade gives clients the ability to establish mulitple course objectives that can be completed via a variety of tasks. This means instructors can combine several content formats into a single course by creating a SCORM based module, followed by an HTML based module, followed by a classroom session that is completed at the six month mark, for example. Although this feature lets instructors create complex training courses, it is optional. Courses can be as simple as a single SCORM component or a converted Powerpoint slideshow. The impact of this change on the user interface was intentionally kept to a minimum, to maintain the easy-to-use nature of the interface. This release also includes the scheduling of auto-delivered reports via email – a request that will save supervisors and managers time, since they will save the report selections once and it will run at the specified interval.

TrainCaster LMS regularly updates its software platform based on feature requests from clients. Every client receives the upgrade automatically, at no additional charge. "TrainCaster started as a client request – just basic delivery/tracking/registration for a required web-based course. As it evolved into a full-featured web-based application, we stayed with our original tenet: deliver software based on the needs of the client," says Bambi Snodgrass, director of customer service. “As we move forward we solicit input from our clients about features they need – so they can streamline training management.”
