Keesler Federal Credit Union Reports Significant Growth in New Accounts

Keesler Federal Credit Union is reporting an average increase of over 300 new accounts per month since deploying MeridianLink's automated system for new accounts and loan origination. The ease of use and seamless integration of MeridianLink's platform were key to Keesler's success.

Keesler Federal Credit Union appreciates the results they’ve realized from the deployment of MeridianLink’s automated system for new accounts and loan origination both in branch and online. “We’re very pleased,” says Vicki Bush, Branch Operations Assistant Vice President of Keesler Federal Credit Union. “We were averaging around 1375 new accounts per month prior to the deployment of the MeridianLink platform. Now we’re pulling in over 1700 new accounts per month. In some months we’ve had as many as 1800 new accounts.”

Keesler Federal Credit Union deployed the MeridianLink system to open and process new accounts and deposits in May. In July, the loan origination and online new accounts systems were launched. “Everything flowed as smoothly as possible,” says Bush. “MeridianLink worked really hard with our Project Management and Training Departments to make the conversions successful.”

One of the primary factors in choosing the MeridianLink platform was the seamless integration of new accounts and loan origination in one easy-to-use system. “We were impressed with the potential to increase cross sales when both lending and deposits were combined into one platform,” explains Bush. “As a result, our financial service reps are changing their approach. Due to the cross-sales capabilities of the platform, we’ve had members come in to open new accounts and then also end up with car loans.”

Bush also appreciates the flexibility of the platform and the fact that Keesler Federal Credit Union is able to use the system both in branch and online. “Another primary factor in choosing MeridianLink was the flexibility the system offered,” she says. “In addition to our 15 branches in the U.S., we have three branches in the UK. We serve members of the military on active duty all over the world. The system had to be able to handle foreign and military addresses. We reach out to very diverse groups — from underserved populations to high school students to military personnel.
