Deep Root will showcase its Silva Cell at EcoBuild in London (UK) on March 1-3, 2011. The company will demonstrate the Silva Cell’s high-quality tree care and storm water management system, which is designed to promote urban tree growth and green environments.

DeepRoot, an urban landscape product manufacturer and services supplier, will exhibit during the EcoBuild tradeshow at the ExCeL Conference Centre in London from March 1 - 3, 2011. The DeepRoot team will be in booth S1463 to demonstrate the Silva Cell, a high-quality tree and stormwater management system.

DeepRoot specializes in restoring ecosystems for urban areas using green utilities that integrate trees, soil and storm water. The company’s flagship product, the award-winning Silva Cell, is a modular building block that contains unlimited amounts of soil beneath paving and hard landscaping while supporting above-ground traffic loads. This promotes long-term tree growth and significant ecological benefit in the built environment.

Last year, the Silva Cell was installed in more than 15 projects within the United Kingdom. A Lidl Store Supermarket car park in New Milton and the Connecting Derby transit hub in Derby were two of the most recent. The company has also had installations in The Netherlands, Belgium and Spain.

“At EcoBuild we want to increase our awareness throughout the United Kingdom and across Europe. DeepRoot can assist councils and design teams in creating sustainable streetscapes,” said DeepRoot CEO Graham Ray, who co-invented the Silva Cell. “We have 30 years of experience in developing products that satisfy the needs of both natural and human-built environments.”

EcoBuild is one of the world’s biggest sustainable construction events, providing a large display of materials, products, services, ideas and solutions.
