“We are extremely pleased to have a person of Don Addington’s caliber in a leadership position on the TAG Board,” said TAG President, Tino Mantella.

ORTEC, a leading provider of strategic, tactical and operational route planning and scheduling, services planning, and pallet and load building software solutions, announced today that Don Addington, President of the Americas, has been appointed as the Technology Association of Georgia's (TAG) Vice Chairman and Treasurer. In this role, Mr. Addington will be instrumental in providing strategic guidance to TAG’s CEO and Executive Committees, will act on behalf of the TAG Chairman of the Board of Directors whenever needed and, in concert with TAG’s President and CEO, will be accountable for monitoring the organization’s financial status. Mr. Addington will attend “best practice” visits to TAG’s North American sister organizations and will participate in TAG leadership meetings to prepare him for the role of Chairman of the Board, which is anticipated to take place in 2013. Mr. Addington will continue the responsibilities afforded to him as a board member, which include his participation and active involvement in strategy development, accessing industry resources, promoting growth and governance of the association.

TAG provides its members with numerous opportunities for personal, professional and business growth by forging strategic alliances and acting as a primary catalyst to foster a rich growth environment for technology development in Georgia. TAG emerged as a non-profit technology group in early 1999. The organization has since grown to more than 12,000 members from more than 1,500 corporations. TAG sponsors over 150 professional development and networking opportunities each year, including the Georgia Technology Summit held in the Spring.

“We are extremely pleased to have a person of Don Addington’s caliber in a leadership position on the TAG Board,” said TAG President, Tino Mantella. “Don has been an exemplary board member for several years. He has a passion to support and contribute to the success of Georgia’s tech-based economy.”

"Georgia's technology sector has an exceptional amount of potential and I am very pleased to have the opportunity to continue contributing to that potential through this leadership role with TAG,” said Mr. Addington. "I look forward to providing strategic guidance as TAG continues its role in the development of Georgia’s technology industry,” he said.

Technology Association of Georgia members have opportunities to attend meetings held by 27 different TAG societies and benefit from affiliate memberships with the Atlanta Telecom Professionals, the MIT Enterprise Forum, Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals, Wireless Technology Forum, Project Management Institute and the Gwinnett Technology Forum. Access to the industry leaders affiliated with TAG provides an incredible opportunity for members to build relationships with cutting-edge technologists, share best practices, explore new technology areas and evoke investment opportunities.
