Bad economy equals successful business opportunities as proven by young entrepreneur attempting to collect debt for self storage facilities.

At 19, Drew Poland, started an online IT management company. At 21, started a photography business specializing in weddings and architecture. Flash forward, in our current in-debt economy, Poland has taken up the opportunity to capitalize on that owed debt by starting a consulting company offering collection services to self storage facilities in the United States.

Maybe you have seen the popular reality show, Storage Wars? A show where self storage companies auction delinquent units to bidders, who attempt to find treasures and turn a profit by selling the items of the units.
Drew Poland, is working against that outcome, trying to collect rent and avoid auctions by offering collection services to small business owners of storage facilities. “I never like to see a persons unit go to auction, that is someones items that they care greatly for. By offering my services I can help facilities increase profits and avoid auctions” says Poland.

Numbers are up, people are storing their goods more everyday. However, to go with that growing occupancy number is the amount of delinquent accounts, they both relate to each other. “The higher your occupancy, the more likely you are to see delinquency rise” says Poland.

Self storage collections are not the only industry Poland, is trying to tap into. The young entrepreneur is also in the midst of launching a cycling based clothing line, named Fixed Apparel, which intends to provide street wear for cyclist to show their passion when off the bike. Fixed Apparel is set to launch April 1st, 2011, with 3 shirt designs being their introduction to the cycling community.
