Lake Worth, FL (PRWEB) March 1, 2011
The WBFL has set the date for the 2nd Annual Skills & Thrills Event.
The WBFL (http://www.westboyntonfootball.com) has begun the quest to find the fastest kid in Palm Beach County.
On May 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Buttonwood Park, the West Boynton Football League is hosting a spectacular event. We’re going to have our 2nd Annual Punt, Pass & Kick competition in our quest to find the fastest kid in Palm Beach County.
This is the original Skills & Thrills and should not be confused with others using our name.
Both competitions will be open to kids ages 5-15. Trophies will be given out to the winners in each age group. The winners of the fastest kid race will have a chance to win an PS3 Gaming Console. You must be a registered WBFL player to earn a chance to win the PS3.
Attending the competition will be Florida Atlantic University Football players, who will help out and give tips. Also on hand will be current and former National Football League players including Mark Duper, Sam Madison, Mike Rumpf and others. A list of current players will be announced as the date gets closer.
Raffle prizes including an Apple iPad, gaming systems and much more will be awarded during the day to anyone that attends. There will be bounce houses, a rock wall, DJ and many more activities for the entire family.
The WBFL is the only Youth Football League in Palm Beach County with a full 10 Game Season plus guaranteed Playoffs. More games = more fun for the kids and families. Simply put... You get more bang for your buck at the WBFL.

Pee-Wees Are Back!
8 on 8
Last Season we re-introduced the Pee-Wee Division to the Community with outstanding results.
The Pee-Wee Division is a bit different than our other Divisions.
This is more of a developmental/instructional Division. It's played on a smaller field (40x80) with 12 players max per team with 8 on 8 on the field. The idea is to be able to teach each player different positions while having more fun. All this while actually preparing them to move up to Prep when ready. Each coach is instructed to rotate the kids into different positions, allowing them to get a feel for each one. The kids loved it, the Parents loved it and we're looking for even bigger and better for 2011.
This Season we're dropping the NFL look and going with top of the line NCAA replica uniforms.
While we're at it... How can we go NCAA and not have a Heisman Trophy? So, this Season, a player from each Division will compete for the Heisman Trophy.
Some final thoughts...
As always... All games will be played at Buttonwood Park with no need to travel.
You can now register safely online with a partial payment plan
We outsourced the Concession Stand this Season, so you will no longer need to put in hours during the Season.
We upgraded to a different referees organization that has brought us to a much higher level of officiating that was greatly received in 2010 and we look forward to working with them again in 2011.
We were the original Skill & Thrills last Season and hope to top it this Season with the 2nd Annual Fastest Kid In Palm Beach County Race along with great giveaways.
The WBFL is looking for both experienced and brand new coaches for the 2011 Season. Do you love Football? Have you ever wanted to coach but thought you didn't know enough? Love working with kids?
