NPI Names Cofie Asare National Sales Manager

In his role, Asare will direct sales across the U.S., with a focus on penetrating the sports nutrition sector and health specialty outlets and distributors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Cofie Asare aboard as National Sales Manager, as he brings an energetic attitude that will help us reach more customers nationwide,” said Mitch Gould, Director of Global Operations for NPI. “He is an individual who has displayed a great deal of talent, and we are happy to have him join our team.”

Asare, a graduate in economics from the University of North Texas., previously served as assistant manager at The Vitamin Shoppe. In that position, he helped oversee operations of the store, managed financial information and assisted individuals with their vitamin and supplement needs. He also led the store’s various health and fitness fairs and was responsible for driving sales for the events.

In addition, Asare was a store manager at General Nutrition Centers, Inc. (GNC), where he managed operations, staffing and sales. While attending the Air Force Academy, he also played varsity football.

“Cofie has an extensive base of knowledge when it comes to vitamins, supplements and people’s overall health and wellness needs,” Gould said. “It is his real-world experience as an athlete and salesperson that will serve him well in this role.”
