Two weeks from today the rigorous Das IronGeek competition will ensue at SXSW to crown “the geekiest” journalist, blogger or influencer. To be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011, Das IronGeek puts competitors through a series of five challenges created by participating companies Das Keyboard, MapQuest, Seidio, SoftLayer, and newly announced addition, Triviatise. And today, the first four of six influencer competitors for the Das IronGeek crown were revealed as: Joshua Baer, Amanda Coolong, Harry McCracken and Nan Palmero.
A Competitive Fleet of Influencers:
These four competitors collectively represent old school long time tech industry analysis and young buck social networking influencers; California and Texas; men and women; and entrepreneurs, consultants and journalists.
The challenges these four, and two others to be revealed, will be put through are designed to be technology-related activities, things a “geek” would ideally know how to do and do well. For the 2011 Das IronGeek, competitions include:
