We are pleased to offer our clients a comprehensive technology solution to manage real world patient safety issues in a standardized reporting format. It provides critical functionality for clients to save time, automate processes and improve outcomes.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) March 1, 2011
With input from sixty-four (64) healthcare organizations, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has developed common formats for inpatient related safety incidents. Health delivery organizations reporting Patient Safety events can now quantify these events using these newly standardized formats.
The challenge for hospitals is to develop a way to track and trend patient safety incidents using this standardized reporting method - including a comprehensive flow of questions and complex if/then logic - into a solution flexible enough to support a wide range of real-world safety issues. It would be unreasonable to expect a healthcare organization to deploy an automated solution without a technology partner. HealthLine Systems is that partner. The new Echo Patient Safety Module is that solution.
The Echo™ Patient Safety Module is a software engine which delivers user friendly reporting with industry consistent queries and multipart skip logic, comprehensive support for AHRQ standard reporting formats; the ability to adapt processes to your hospital’s specific standard of practice; the capacity to protect the security of Personal Health Information (PHI) and a tool to track and trend incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
“We are pleased to offer our clients a comprehensive technology solution to manage real-world patient safety issues in a standardized reporting format,” said Dan Littrell, HealthLine Systems’ CEO. “Our Patient Safety solution is our most recent technology innovation to meet the growing and changing needs of our clients.”
HealthLine Systems has a long history of innovative solutions to meet shifting client needs. HealthLine released commercially available physician referral software in 1986 and credentialing software in 1987.
HealthLine’s market innovation continued with the first multi-entity provider data management solution in 1992; and with a Windows-based contact center system in 1995. HealthLine Systems provided the industry’s first fully-enabled web credentialing solution in 2000 and the industry’s first browser-based contact center solution in 2005. HealthLine supplied the industry with data integration and the master provider database in 2006. HealthLine released contact center solutions available as software as a service (SaaS) in 2007, which migrated to EchoCloud in 2011.
Again in 2011, HealthLine Systems responds to emerging client needs with the release of the automated Patient Safety solution. “Our Patient Safety solution will provide critical new functionality for clients who want to save time, automate processes, and improve outcomes,” said Mr. Littrell. “Clients now have an automated resource for documenting key patient safety events in a standardized format.”
