Laser Vison Correction Results for Dishler LASIK in Denver Reveals 98% of Nearsighted Patients Achieve 20/25 or Better

When you are having surgery on your eyes, you need to know what to expect. LASIK results at Dishler Laser Institute are simply clearer. Data for LASIK surgeries performed by Dr. Jon G. Dishler of the Dishler Laser Institute ( between January 1 and August 31, 2010 were recently compiled. Data for 1076 eyes were collected. 92% of eyes underwent LASIK; 8% PRK. 93% of patients were nearsighted and 7% of patients were farsighted. In the data complied, 100% of nearsighted patients achieved 20/30, 96% achieved 20/20, with 29% achieving 20/15 vision results. All results are for best monocular visual acuity achieved within 6 months post-op LASIK. No subject lost any best correctable visual acuity. 4 eyes out of 1,075 (0.4%) underwent an enhancement procedure and the post-enhancement visual acuity is included in the data. Laser technology used was the VisuMax All Laser Femtosecond Flap Maker & Zeiss M.E.L. 80 / Allegretto Wavelight Excimer lasers. Method of collection is on file at Dishler Laser Institute. About Dr. Dishler (
Dr. Dishler is a board certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He graduated from the University of Colorado Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Texas. Dr. Dishler began practicing general ophthalmology in 1982. In 1985, he founded the DTC Eye Surgery Center which was one of Colorado's first state-certified ambulatory surgery centers.

Dr. Dishler has numerous groundbreaking achievements to his name. He was the first ophthalmologist in the state of Colorado to perform LASIK and Automated Lamellar Keratoplasty (ALK), and one of the first in the United States to perform the advanced all- laser IntraLASIK procedure.
