New creative marketing efforts connect Tampa Bay businesses with busy travelers; Ferman Automotive among the first brands to utilize new ad vehicles.

We expect the visibility achieved at TIA will translate into strong sales for the new MINI Countryman and a mutually rewarding marketing partnership between Ferman MINI and TIA

Clear Channel Airports (CCA), the world's leading marketer of airport advertising, recently launched exciting new advertising installations at Tampa International Airport (TIA) that present innovative opportunities for local and national brands to connect with the 17 million travelers who visit the airport annually.

The new installations include innovative ad formats and materials – such as semi-transparent window “clings” in cars on the airport Tram to a full-size automobile strategically placed in the airport ticketing area.

Starting last month, Ferman Automotive launched a campaign in the ticketing area of TIA to showcase the brand new MINI Countryman, a vehicle designed for automotive traveling pleasure. This campaign marks the first time that an automobile was featured inside the Tampa International Airport. The MINI Countryman is parked in the ticketing area next to American Airlines, a high traffic area.

“Since 1895, Ferman has been a pioneer in local transportation retailing. Thus, the opportunity for Ferman MINI of Tampa Bay to be the first automotive retailer to present their products at Tampa International Airport is significant and truly exciting,” said Doug Opie, Sales Manager at MINI of Tampa Bay. “We expect the visibility achieved at TIA will translate into strong sales for the new MINI Countryman and a mutually rewarding marketing partnership between Ferman MINI and TIA.”

CCA works with companies that have roots in the Tampa Bay area to promote their products with eye-catching displays at TIA, and is already generating interest among businesses and media agencies.

“We’re impressed with this new advertising vehicle in Tampa International Airport and excited about the great opportunity they offer to tell millions of travelers about America’s best beaches, which are just 30 minutes away. This medium allows us to showcase images and messages that are hip and vibrant, just like the destination,” said Mary DeLong, SVP/Director Tourism Division at BVK the advertising agency for Visit St. Pete/ Clearwater.

“At Clear Channel Airports we often look outside the box to provide clients with exciting new ways of displaying their brands,” said Melissa Cleary, Tampa Sales Team Manager of Clear Channel Airports. “These installations at Tampa International Airport are a first and we are proud to be the company to help provide innovative advertising solutions to businesses in the Tampa Bay area.”

Clear Channel Airports works closely with TIA officials to ensure the creativity of new displays does not take away from the beauty of the airport.
