Everyday we see new and interesting ways in which people are using X-ACTO knives. This is a fun way to celebrate these great projects and inspire others to try something new.
Columbus, OH (PRWEB) March 3, 2011
From model building to woodworking and cake decorating, consumers are using X-ACTO knives in a host of different ways. Through a new contest, called “X-ACTO 365,” the company is calling on anyone that has an interesting or favorite use for their X-ACTO knife to join them in collecting 365 uses of the well-known cutting tools. Ordinary uses like simply cutting paper need not apply as participants will be rewarded based on creativity.
Beginning today, consumers can upload their favorite use to XACTO.com. For each unique entry selected, entrants will receive a free X-ACTO knife (up to $6 value). Three winners will also be selected for a Grand Prize, First Place Prize and Second Prize. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000 cash, the first place winner $750 cash and the second place winner $500. The three winners will also receive X-ACTO prize packs containing an assortment of cutting tools. Winners will be chosen by a panel of company judges and will be evaluated based on creativity and the uniqueness of the entry.
According to Jay Johnson, brand manager with X-ACTO, “Everyday we see new and interesting ways in which people are using X-ACTO knives. This is a fun way to celebrate these great projects and inspire others to try something new.”
