Houston and Bay Area Agency Recognized for UI Design, Motion Graphics, Advertising, Online Commercials and Interactive Media

85" Multi-Touch Screen with Aniden's UI Design for YouTube Play Exhibit

The 49th Houston ADDYs presented excellent advertising and design from our peers and leaders in the industry, so to win the Best of Show Interactive award, is an honor and a very proud moment for Aniden Interactive.

The 49th Houston Advertising Federation ADDY Awards took place on Saturday, February 19, 2011. Many local advertising and digital design agencies were recognized for their creativity and talents in UI design, motion graphics, advertising, online commercials and interactive media. Among these agencies was Aniden Interactive, who won five Gold ADDY awards, one Silver ADDY, and a Citation of Excellence in the Packaging, Consumer Flash Website, Interactive Media, Advertising, Sales Promotion and Online Commercial categories.

This year’s Houston ADDY Awards show paid tribute to creative excellence, recognizing all forms of advertising and media. Aniden’s winning projects included interactive product tours, package design, motion graphics, and online videos and commercials, all of which make up Aniden’s portfolio today. The night ended with a bang when Aniden was awarded Best of Show in Interactive for their YouTube Play User Interface Design.

Now famously known as the biennial of creative video, YouTube Play celebrated the world’s most creative online videos at the New York Guggenheim Museum on October 2010. Marking the first collaboration between Google, YouTube and Guggenheim, Aniden designed and deployed an inspirational touch-based experience and user interface for YouTube Play’s digital gallery, where the twenty-five finalist videos and artists were showcased on an 85” multi-touch screen and eighteen HP TouchSmart 600 PCs. Aniden created the visual design of the user interface to complement the event aesthetics. With a unique screen for each artist, users were able to not only view the winning videos, but also learn about the artist, their mission and how the artist created their work.

“The gallery at the Guggenheim for YouTube Play was truly unique. In contrast with virtually all artist presentations in the past, YouTube Play visitors were not prohibited from touching the artwork, but instead were encouraged to do so. Aniden’s YouTube Play UI design worked seamlessly, providing an interactive experience for all lucky enough to visit the Guggenheim while the work was presented. The gallery was packed throughout the entire four-day exhibition and Aniden truly rose to the occasion," says Chris Di Cesare, head of Creative Programming at Google.

The 49th Houston Advertising Federation ADDY Awards was a memorable event for all who attended.
