Acquisition Follows Globalrange’s Record Growth in 2010

GlobalRange Corporation, the North American operation of London-based GlobalRange Limited, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Agri-Services Business of ARI Network Services, Inc., a leading provider of electronic parts catalogs and related technology and services for dealers, distributors and manufacturers in selected vertical markets.

This acquisition brings GlobalRange’s strength in agri-business to a large US-based trading community comprised of agri-chemical manufacturers and their distributers and retailers.

GlobalRange founded the F4F Agriculture trading platform in 2000 in the United Kingdom. Since that time, the company has seen over 1000 large agri-business companies directly connect to F4F for the management of their trading relationships with suppliers and buyers. F4F customers are spread across the major agricultural sectors including feed, crop protection, animal health, fertilizer, retail/distribution and manufacturing. Further, those customers and their trading partners are located in over 50 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America and Africa.

“We are very pleased about acquiring the agri-services business from ARI, since we believe we can bring a tremendous level of attention and support to this community and bring our years of success around the globe to the North American market,” said Steve Youngblood, CEO of GlobalRange Corporation. “ARI has been a pioneer in this space, launching its original agriculture focused service in 1981 and then enhancing it with the Meppel software solution in 1996. GlobalRange brings a new level of capabilities to the table with the latest in standards support, web based applications, mobile technologies and a global presence. Many of the companies that have been trading via ARI’s network are also customers of GlobalRange in the UK, Europe and other parts of the world. We can now more easily help them have a global vision for their supply chain and e-commerce activities.”

“ARI has been a pioneer in providing electronic commerce services to the agriculture community in the US. Our network and our software have been used by hundreds of companies, large and small. As we began to focus on other industries and technologies, we began to look at ways we could better support this community and grow it” said Brian Dearing, Chairman of ARI Network Services. “GlobalRange is a perfect fit. They are the global leaders in providing global B2B e-commerce and integration software and services to the agri-food industries and the right company to take this community of trading partners to the latest web, mobile and integration technologies.”
