We pride ourselves in being operationally available at all times to meet whatever power needs our customer may have now or in the future.
Trujillo, PERU (PRWEB) March 7, 2011
APR Energy (APR) was recently awarded a new contract with the Peruvian national electric utility company, Electroperú S.A. In early 2009, APR was requested to install and maintain a diesel- fired power plant in Trujillo, Peru through an emergency decree issued by the government to combat power generation shortages, and this new contract will extend the stay of this current plant in the region. Much of Peru’s electricity had previously been derived from hydro- electric plants which have not been able to produce sufficient amounts of power due to droughts.
APR Energy’s initial agreement with Electroperú was due to expire in December of 2010, but with this new contract, the life of the plant will be extended in order to counteract more recent capacity reductions. “The Trujillo plant is a perfect example of how APR’s contractual flexibility and operational excellence make us the ideal solution for utility companies all around the world,” said Dagan Baroco, APR Energy Business Development Manager. “We pride ourselves in being operationally available at all times to meet whatever power needs our customer may have now or in the future.”
APR Energy has supplied turnkey power plants such as the one in Trujillo at remote locations worldwide utilizing a combination of diesel and natural gas fuel technologies. These fast- track projects in the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and Asia are designed to be operated on a temporary basis until more permanent plants can be brought online.
