Dynamo PR, social and digital communications signed innovative online ask a doctor service as its latest client.

Dynamo, which manages PR, social and digital communications for consumer tech companies, today announces that it has signed ThanksDr as its latest client.

ThanksDr (http://www.thanksdr.co.uk) is an online service for UK users providing free access to reliable and vetted medical information, as well as a paid for consultation and advice service with experienced UK based and registered Doctors. ThanksDr has retained Dynamo to build up its customer base through profile-raising in consumer press as well as Twitter and Facebook campaigns.

“Dynamo impressed us with their deep understanding and experience of running creative campaigns that cut through consumer and social media,” said Dr Clare Craig, founder and MD of ThanksDr. “We’re seeing increasing public frustrations with services such as NHS Direct and getting misdiagnosed on the first page of Google. Working with Dynamo we will show there is another option for families to get reassurance and a diagnosis from an experienced UK-qualified doctor without having to join a waiting list.”

“Unlike public services such as NHS Direct, which is staffed by Nurses, ThanksDr provides accessible, simple and secure access to experienced registered Doctors, as well as providing a free service for users to access medical advice and information from vetted medical sources,” said Peter Bowles, Creative MD, Dynamo. “We’ll use a combination of outreach to traditional media, as well as developing social media campaigns to raise awareness and let the UK public know there’s another way to get trusted medical advice.”

UK web users can visit http://www.thanksdr.co.uk to access ThanksDr services which include a free online search service, as well as a paid for private, secure consultation service where users can ask for specific advice, and get answers from qualified GPs as well as specialist consultants. The cost of the ask a doctor service is £25.
