Product Configurator leader offers new capabilities designed to automate data integration and streamline the quote-to-order process for CRM users

Configure One™, a leading provider of web-based product configurator and electronic catalog software, today announced the availability of Concept Integration for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

The concept of juggling multiple applications in different windows to manage customer data is no longer acceptable. Configure One’s ready-to-use integration to Microsoft Dynamics CRM essentially acts as a Dynamics CRM Configurator and eliminates re-keying of redundant data, keeping information up-to-date in both product solutions.

The integration with Configure One’s Concept Enterprise Product Configurator® allows Microsoft Dynamics CRM users to generate professional quote documents consisting of both configurable and standard line items. For configurable items, users are guided through a series of questions that captures the appropriate feature and option requirements. Concept then automatically translates the user’s selections into the deliverables that are needed to sell and to fill the order.

Key Features of an Integrated Concept configurator for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Solution include:

  • Pulls Account and Contact data from Microsoft Dynamics CRM to populate proposals
  • Pushes Quote information from Concept to Opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Creates a Quote in Microsoft Dynamics CRM based on Concept Quote metadata
  • Creates new products in Microsoft Dynamics CRM for the configured part
  • Automatically attaches the new configured product to the Opportunity and Quote

“The integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Configure One’s Concept empowers sales people to become self-sufficient,” said David Ray, Configure One’s enterprise architect. “They can easily convert customer requests into quotes, sales drawings, and/or virtual product images without having to rely on an internal quotation or engineering department.”

“We are very excited about working with Configure One,” said John O’Donnell, Microsoft Dynamics ISV Architect Evangelist. “The integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Concept provides companies that sell configurable, multi-option, and customizable products and services with a powerful solution.”
