“Fast, reliable software integration of Brooks Automation products for semiconductor & other high-technology equipment suppliers enhanced with advanced training and technical support”

PEER Group announced today that it has become a Brooks Solution Provider (BSP), serving North America and Europe. Using its own industry-leading tool automation, connectivity, and testing products, PEER Group provides software integration of Brooks Automation’s atmospheric and vacuum systems to semiconductor and other high-technology equipment suppliers. PEER Group and Brooks will act as independent suppliers to the customer, but will work cooperatively to ensure delivery of timely, high-quality solutions.

Brooks uses a highly selective process for its Solution Provider program, choosing companies with extensive experience in successfully integrating Brooks products. “We have been working with PEER Group for six years and our customers have been very satisfied with their performance,” said Anthony Robson, Senior Product Marketing Manager. “They have enabled OEMs to bring new equipment platforms to market in record time while reducing engineering costs. And, best of all, tools running PEER Group software get accepted quickly and run reliably in production.”

With more than 125 OEM customers, PEER Group is the world’s leading supplier of SECS/GEM connectivity products and services to the high-technology equipment supplier market. In 2003, PEER Group was the first supplier to introduce a comprehensive tool automation software product, PEER Tool Orchestrator (PTO™), which grew in capability and went on to win Semiconductor International’s prestigious Best Product Award for 2007. PTO is now installed on over 35 equipment models and running successfully in production in over 30 factories worldwide.

As a BSP, PEER Group will receive advanced training on new Brooks products and upgrades, and will have access to Brooks engineering for rapid problem solving. “When one of our customers chooses Brooks as their automation hardware platform, we’re confident we can complete the integration quickly and efficiently,” said Mike Kropp, CEO of PEER Group. “Not only do their products perform according to specification, but their engineers work well with ours in implementing new products and customizations that often arise with new, leading-edge equipment platforms.”

PEER Group operates its tool automation software business from its headquarters in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
