With the rise of online politics in Europe and ElectionMall’s recent involvement in the February Irish elections, ElectionMall.com CEO, Ravi Singh feels that the luck of the Irish is something he wants to capitalize on. Singh believes that there is an untapped supply of technological talent in the country and that Ireland is a great location to open a research and development office to customize technology solutions for the European campaigns and elections market.

Founded by Singh in 2000, ElectionMall.com is a non-partisan political technology company and has been a leader in providing Software as a Service tools and cloud-based software to political campaigns. During 2010 ElectionMall worked with over 1,000 political campaigns in the United States and was heavily involved in multiple presidential campaigns in South America. The opening of the Dublin office is the first of ElectionMall’s international expansion plan following their new exclusive relationship with Microsoft in the campaigns and elections vertical market.

The recent uprisings in the Middle East are a great example of the wide use of technology among citizens to promote democracy and Singh believes that this is the perfect opportunity to think outside the box and expand the sales office they opened in Brussels in 2008.

“We are well aware of the economic crisis in Ireland, and our experience during the 2011 Election showed us that despite these challenges the Irish people are hardworking and determined to make things work,” said Singh. “That type of mentality is priceless and we are very excited to do our small part in helping the local economy.”

ElectionMall’s office is located in the heart of Dublin, just blocks away from the political center.

The eDemocracy Research and Development laboratory will hire an experienced local team with backgrounds in political science, new media communication, and computer programming. The laboratory will be a 24-hour center to host and service European clients and support the political trends and digital revolutions seen this election season.

The company plans to relocate its hosting hub to Ireland and United Kingdom along with a major re-platform of its technology tools. ElectionMall will also be engaging new local partners in Ireland and Europe so that it can be a “one-stop-shop” for European politics.

Singh believes that these infrastructure changes will help his company meet the customization and cultural issues that are in Europe and prepare for the upcoming European Union Parliamentary Elections in 2014.
