For the third year in a row, Axium, a leading developer of accounting and project management software for engineering and architecture firms, places in Oregon Business Magazine’s Top 100 Companies to Work For in the medium-sized company category. Axium made a significant jump in the rankings to ninth, after finishing 24th in 2010.
“The management team was very pleased to see that our ratings improved in so many areas this year,” said Cathy Mills, President. “We take the employee feedback seriously, and we set out to address any concerns in our yearly initiatives. Axium has had sustained growth and as a result, we’ve been adding new employees in every department. Placing in the Top 100 presents a great opportunity to continue to attract and retain great talent.”
Trends from this year’s survey showed employees responded favorably to Axium’s new office space and have a high level of trust of management. Axium’s employees expressed excitement for the future and are eager to receive training to take on new leadership roles.
“We set out to create a new office environment that would prepare us to address the continued growth we’ve been experiencing,” said Mills. “We also wanted to give our employees a space that they could be proud of, would reflect our company culture and promoted collaboration across the company. The feedback is showing we’ve accomplished that.”
“The results also show that employees have a great amount of trust in the management team, which is critical to creating a thriving work environment,” said Mills. “In 2011, our plan is to continue focusing on employee development.”
Oregon Business Magazine surveys both employers and employees of thousands of businesses around the State. Employees complete a job satisfaction survey, and a company representative completes a survey describing benefits and workplace policies. This year marked the 18th year that Oregon companies have been evaluated and nearly 14,000 employees completed surveys.
