Michael Adamson Establishes Strategic Branding Division for Senior Living Leader.

Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA) announced today that Michael Adamson, award-winning marketing professional, has joined the senior living firm as Director of Strategic Branding. The new hire comes on the heels of four major graphic design awards given by Graphic Design USA. The move represents another indicator in the growth and vigor of the company.

COO Marc Vorkapich says, “HRA’s new Strategic Branding division allows the company to not only increase our presence on the Web, but also establish a consistent identity and message across all mediums, so our name and our reputation are top-of-mind for both investors and the families we serve.” In the past nineteen years, Michael has won over a dozen awards for work in the aviation, sports marketing, hospitality and construction sectors.

Most recently, Graphic Design USA recognized Michael’s work for HRA with four American Graphic Design Awards. Regency Park, HRA’s premier Independent Senior Living Community, took top honors for website design, brochure and its print advertising campaign ( The logos for both HarborChase and Regency Park were also recognized. Marc continues, “Michael has the ability to embrace our Core Values and communicate HRA’s unique approach to Senior Living across a variety of mediums. He created an entire toolkit of brochures, advertising and website designs that perfectly captures our story. I’m confident that these awards for excellence are just the beginning of what he can achieve.” Graphic Design USA receives thousands of entries, while only a fraction are chosen as winners.

Michael’s career began in Seattle, Washington, where he honed his skills working for several of the prominent advertising agencies over a 7-year period. After a move to Connecticut, he lead the United States Tennis Associations’ creative team in developing advertising and marketing campaigns for the US Open Tennis Championships and other national tennis programs. While with USTA, he won an APEX Award of Excellence for his work on the 2002 US Open Tennis Championships tournament.

Michael’s move to HRA comes after a 6 year career with design firm DHI Advertising and Design where he worked on a wide range of accounts such as Piper Aircraft, Inc., Seacoast National Bank, and Abercrombie & Kent. He says, “HRA is a company that offers a truly special service for aging senior citizens so I was very excited to be part of something greater than just selling a product. While developing the new marketing materials for the company I was inspired by the devotion and caring of their associates and set out to capture that devotion and celebrate the people they serve.”

HRA just launched their new corporate website,, which outlines the company’s core competencies. Michael concludes, “The new website and marketing campaigns are just the beginning of our plans for the future. We will be expanding our services to offer our marketing expertise to companies within and outside the senior sector.”
