MCEC Notches Up Four State Finalists at the MEA Awards

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) are state finalists in four categories of the 2010 MEA Victoria Meetings & Events Industry Awards to be held on Thursday 10 March 2011 in Melbourne.

I am enormously proud that we have made it to the Victorian finals in all of the categories we entered!

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) are state finalists in four categories of the 2010 MEA Victoria Meetings & Events Industry Awards to be held on Thursday 10 March 2011 in Melbourne.

Chief executive, Leigh Harry said “I am enormously proud that we have made it to the Victorian finals in all of the categories we entered!”

“The MEA awards are highly regarded within the business events industry so it’s a great achievement for our staff and I wish them good luck at the awards on Thursday evening.”

The four categories the MCEC are state finalists in are:

  •     Banquet and catering
  •     Business Development Person of the Year
  •     In-house AV services (company or department)
  •     Meeting venue 500 delegates or more

State winners will progress to the 2010 MEA National Awards where winners will be revealed on 19 April 2011 in Brisbane.

The annual MEA Awards recognise excellent business practice in the meetings and events industry. They encourage industry professionals to excel in the achievement of their business and personal goals, and reward those who achieve outstanding results.
