Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 14, 2011
Summit Media Group today announced that it has formed a Custom Media Division to combine Summit’s content and digital media expertise for the benefit of customers who want a deeper footprint in the packaging and automation markets. As a B2B media organization offering information for industry professionals, Summit has been producing print and online media since 1994, and is now favorably positioned to serve the growing demand for content marketing.
Heading up the new division as VP of Digital & Custom Media is Dave Newcorn. Formerly VP eMedia, Mr. Newcorn will continue to oversee strategy and new product development for electronic media, and will employ his years of electronic media experience to deliver creative solutions in his new position. The Custom Media Division will be assisted by Joan Jacinto, Content Marketing Support Manager. Ms. Jacinto brings with her several years experience executing custom media campaigns for Automation World customers. This duo, together with experienced B2B writers, designers, and a newly enlarged web development team, will enable Summit to serve the custom content needs of all Summit properties.
“Having risen from the editorial ranks on Packaging World, Dave was a natural choice to head up Custom Media because he has a solid understanding of content, as well as digital media,” said Lloyd Ferguson, Summit Media Group President. “Automation World customers will continue to receive the strategic content leadership and excellent campaign execution they’re accustomed to and they’ll also benefit from innovations Dave offers from the media side of business. Additionally, Packaging World and Healthcare Packaging customers can now access the resources of a fully staffed division that will guarantee flawless execution.”
Today’s business owners are discovering the power and impact of custom media programs and the strategic advantage they provide in the marketplace of ideas. Custom media has become an extension of many companies’ internal marketing. Summit Media Group has the capability to produce webinar series, user group and trade show dailies, custom newsletters, microsites, standalone websites, and custom content and technology solutions. Summit’s current and past custom publishing customers include: B&R Industrial Automation, Belden, Emerson, Invensys, Matthews International, National Instruments, OPC Foundation, P I North America, Pro Mach, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Underwriters Laboratories.
