Evolutionary production company Unscripted (http://www.unscripted.com) has begun producing key content for its ‘I Want to Travel’ series, dispatching team members Will Hutson and Brandon Li this week to ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel trade show. Will and Brandon will be interviewing regional travel and tourism representatives as well as meeting with current and future partners. Brandon has films at Sundance and SXSW this year.
The ‘I Want to Travel’ series covers the following genres - ‘On Impulse’, ‘Adventure’, ‘Escape’, ‘Couples’ and ‘Homecoming’.
According to Unscripted producer Will Hutson, “We felt it best to begin at the top – and if your covering travel, there’s nothing bigger than ITB. We welcome regional representatives and tourism councils to explore the travel genre programming we are developing and encourage them to contact us if they feel they have unique and appropriate fits to our desired areas of coverage.”
Specific detail on the ‘I Want to Travel’ content genres follows:
‘On Impulse’ - Founder of “I Want to Travel” and well known digital nomad Markus Urban is challenging people in various metropolitan areas with this exact question, but taking it one step further, by underwriting their trip and filming their experience. This series is sure to turn heads and change lives.
‘Adventure’ - Life can be an adventure, but for most people life ends up becoming a series of routines and tasks that, for better or worse, we never imagined doing. For people that want to break out of the mold our Adventure series is just the nudge needed to take a leap. The emphasis is on outdoor excursions, late night destinations and everything in between. This isn’t travel for the faint of heart.
‘Escape’ - The 9 to 5 workforce has quickly become the 8 to 8 workforce. Our Escape show will revolve around people that desire to see the finest things each country has to offer. The spas and resorts, fine dining and high end shopping are all included. When someone thinks about being “whisked” away, this is what they mean. For countries that end up getting coverage for deals and discounts, their ability to market the more luxurious side of traveling there is tough, we aim to fix that.
‘Couples’ - The modern couple has demands that could test even the most resolute relationship. Our Couples format is geared at giving them a trip specifically catered to exactly what they want and need. The explosion of couple focused travel over the last 20 years isn’t a coincidence, but the destinations and exotic locales make it harder for other countries that offer incredibly romantic alternatives to compete. Our goal is to bridge that gap.
‘Homecoming’ - Born and raised in Boston to an Irish family, but never once been to Ireland. 3rd generation Mexican from LA but never made it to Mexico for as much as a visit. These stories are becoming greater and greater in the US. The pathos involved and emotional chords these stories bring out will surely change the way people think about not only our various populations in the US, but also how they view the country from which their family came. Nostalgia is one of the most pronounced marketing tactics around, let us help tell the story.
