Campaigns are about connecting people with those who want to lead them, and these extraordinarily talented and creative individuals are among the most effective in the business.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) March 11, 2011
The winners of the second annual “Dream Team” of Politics were announced Thursday during the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) annual conference in Washington. Presented before a crowd of the nation’s leading political and public affairs professionals, the Aristotle awards recognized political operatives in national and state campaigns across 13 categories, including campaign manager, fundraising, press secretary, voter contact, GOTV and mobile campaigning.
“We congratulate all of this year’s Dream Team winners and nominees,” Aristotle CEO John Aristotle Phillips said. “Campaigns are about connecting people with those who want to lead them, and these extraordinarily talented and creative individuals are among the most effective in the business.”
Along with the newest Dream Team designees, the AAPC also inducted three national leaders into its Hall of Fame. Roger Craver, founder of Donor Trends, Morris Dees, founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center and political legend Ed Rollins were all a part of this year’s class.
“Each of this year’s inductees into the AAPC’s Hall of Fame have left their mark on American politics and we are proud to honor their lifetimes of achievement,” Phillips said.
Recent events around the world as well as a tumultuous domestic election year in 2010 displayed the talents of individuals who beat the odds, shaped the debate, changed the dynamics of their respective fights and ultimately drove success. More than 350 nominations were submitted through the AAPC website and voted on by the campaign professionals as well as the public.
“The most remarkable characteristic shared by all of the Dream Team winners is their ability to advance the right message through the appropriate technology and medium to reach their target audiences, from the GOTV to fundraising. We honor their hard work and dedication and skill,” Phillips added.
