Waddell & Reed Announces Financial Education Series for 2011

(Virginia Beach, VA) The Virginia Beach office of Waddell & Reed Financial Advisors launched their Financial Education Series for 2011. The primary purpose of this series is to educate the community on various aspects of personal finances. District Manager Dan Neice states that he has personally witnessed several marriages and friendships destroyed due primarily to poor financial stewardship. Financial Advisor Nora Thomas commented that she is surprised at the number of individuals she has encountered that has little or no savings, much less has planned for retirement. By providing financial education at no cost to the public, it is the hope that Waddell & Reed will change individuals’ financial destiny for the better.

The first session of the series will be held on March 24th and is entitled College Funding. This session discusses tax efficient methods for investing for your children’s education, along with financial aid considerations. The second session will be held April 21st and is entitled Impact of Inflation. This session discusses the impact of inflation on your purchasing power, and how to get your money working for you. All sessions will be held from 630PM to 745PM at the Virginia Beach office of Waddell & Reed located at 2901 S. Lynnhaven Road Suite 100.

Dan Neice, MBA. Dan is the District Manager and Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed in Virginia Beach. Dan has earned an MBA from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, emphasis in Accounting from the Citadel.
