Online self-study training improves unnecessary expenditures, while increasing Short Sale efficiency, profitability, marketability, and closing ratios for the Title Insurance Industry

America’s Home Rescue announced today that several national escrow and title insurance companies have chosen to get their employees certified through the CDRCS Escrow Certification Program, an online self-study training course for escrow officers and closing attorneys, in preparation for the expected increase in Short Sale requests throughout the coming year. Unlike Short Sale training for real estate agents, the CDRCS Certification (Certified Default Resolution Closing Specialist) is unique to the real estate industry in that it focuses specifically on the information, tools and processes needed for the escrow officers and closing attorneys in the proper closing of a Short Sale transaction. "I think that anyone in the title/escrow/closings field should take this course. It gives you a complete knowledge of what a Realtor has to do before placing the order for title insurance," says Dorothy Tittermary with SearchTec Abstract Inc. in Philadelphia, PA, regarding the CDRCS training program.

"Western Title has had all of their Escrow Officers certified. As President, I am not actively on an escrow desk, but took the certification course along with our escrow staff. The course provided good information for our industry. We felt that it was very important for the customers that refer business (real estate professionals) to know that the title company they are closing with has taken the certification course. Real Estate Agents take the time to learn how to sell short sale properties, we took the time to make sure we are at the top of our game in closing short sale transactions," says Sylvia Smith, President, Western Title & Escrow in Reno, Nevada.

All too often, a Short Sale fails to close simply because the real estate agent or the closing officer does not have the proper training and experience. “When it comes to Short Sale training, one-size does not fit all. The agent and the closing officer have different roles and responsibilities in the transaction and both must be properly trained in order to achieve successful Short Sale closings. At America’s Home Rescue, we have designed our training programs to meet the unique needs and concerns of each professional involved in the transaction. This role-specific training is imperative in mitigating the foreclosure crisis and getting our real estate market and economy back on track,” says Stacy Spickes. America's Home Rescue has locked in key relationships in the title, escrow and closing industry to ensure that their employees are equipped with the right knowledge, tools, systems and processes to effectively close Short Sale transactions while decreasing inefficiencies and optimizing knowledge and performance.
