Give2Asia, a US-based public charity promoting transformative philanthropy for Asia, announces today the launch of its fund to help survivors of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The Give2Asia Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Fund is accepting contributions to support immediate relief and short-term to long-term recovery projects undertaken by the affected communities. We are working with our local advisors based in Tokyo to assess the current situation and to obtain more information on the needs of survivors.

Donations to the fund can be made online by visiting http://www.give2asia.org/japantsunami-2011. Give2Asia will also be posting updated information on this page with details of specific projects and needs.
