Sustainability Leader Delta Institute Adds Globe Guard® Products To Its Buying Better Web Site

Salazar Packaging, Inc., a rapidly growing manufacturer and distributor of environmentally friendly packaging products, today announced that most of its Globe Guard® product line has been reviewed and approved by the highly acclaimed Delta Institute for inclusion in its popular Buying Better web site.

“To our knowledge, this is the first time any packaging product line has been vetted and approved by a third-party consumer advisory organization with the credentials and reputation of Delta Institute,” said company president and co-founder Dennis Salazar. “We are thrilled that our products can help a company committed to sustainability achieve their LEED certification by qualifying for points in the Sustainable Purchasing - Ongoing Consumables section of their application.”

Globe Guard® packaging products was launched in May 2008 as the first recognized brand of eco-friendly packaging products designed to include an entire family of green packaging products for use by packaging buyers concerned about the environment and sustainability. The most popular product is Salazar’s 100% post consumer waste and 100% recycled content corrugated boxes.

The company’s product line also includes a wide variety of paper mailers, 100% PCW labels, as well as biodegradable bubble wrap, stretch wrap and biodegradable inflatable packaging for void fill applications.

Salazar noted that company sales are almost evenly split between customer-specific custom products and stock products offered through its innovative green packaging web store: http://www.GlobeGuardProducts.com

“We are very pleased to offer the Globe Guard product line to our Buying Better members”, said Kathleen Seus, Director of Green Purchasing for Delta Institute and their Buying Better program. “Buying Better makes purchasing green products easier and more economical by offering fully vetted products at a discount.“ Membership is free and available by visiting http://www.buyingbetter.org.
