(PRWEB) March 14, 2011 -- Chile is the 45th country to form a Facebook community page that connects mothers and babies who need human milk with mothers offering to donate.
Human Milk 4 Human Babies Global Network, formerly known as Eats On Feets GLOBAL, has grown rapidly and now supports 270 volunteers administering 120 community pages in 45 countries. Donors and recipients are using the network to make milk sharing matches literally every hour of every day.
“Breast milk is not a scarce commodity," says network spokeswoman Emma Kwasnica. "It's a free-flowing resource, and we were dumping it down the drain. There is clearly a need for a global network to connect donors and recipients, a network that is easy to use, free of charge, and free from influence or coercion.”
Communities in Azerbaijan, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Iceland, Mexico, Vancouver Island, Canada, and Saudi Arabia and have joined the network in recent days.
