Only 25 Companies Nationwide Selected Annually for Prestigious Award for Best Business Practices and Community Contribution

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has named Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation one of only 25 companies nationwide to receive its 2011 Free Enterprise award, given annually to U.S. businesses for their strong business practices and contributions to the economy. The designation is part of the 2011 Blue Ribbon Small Business Award competition, hosted by the U.S. Chamber and sponsored by Sam’s Club®. The competition culminates in the naming of the Chamber's DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award, May 23-25, in Washington DC.

To qualify for the Free Enterprise award eligible, small business applicants must have fewer than 250 employees and gross revenues of less than $20 million in the prior year. Applicants are judged on the following criteria: Staff Training and Motivation; Community Involvement; Customer Service; and Business Strategies and Goals.

In its letter conferring the Free Enterprise Award to Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS Corp.), the Chamber stated, “We are proud to recognize your business’ success story and are impressed with your company’s accomplishments.” Dr. H.M. Hashemian, President and CEO of AMS Corp., commented: "We are very pleased and honored to receive the Chamber's recognition and congratulate our fellow award recipients." AMS Corp. joined two other companies from Knoxville, Tennessee--Knowledge Launch and Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center--in earning the Free Enterprise honor. "We're thrilled to have these members recognized nationally," said Mike Edwards, president and CEO of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce. "The companies are representative of all the terrific small businesses that exist in the Knoxville-Oak Ridge Innovation Valley."
