The Land Improvement Contractors Association (LICA), headquartered in Lisle, Illinois, with over 1600 members has teamed up with Petrocon to partake in Petrocon’s National Oil Program with ConocoPhillips.

Petrocon was formed in 2007 to benefit construction companies. A wholesaler of commodity materials, Petrocon gains it strength by leveraging consumers in the aggregate, mining, cement and heavy duty trucking industry sectors. Petrocon originated as a commercial petroleum consumers group made up of construction companies that leveraged buying efforts to purchase lubricants and antifreeze nationally through a wholesale buying platform. Today, Petrocon provides an avenue for construction companies to purchase lubricants, antifreeze, tires, energy, and cellular at competitive levels which can save individual companies 10 to 30% in each of these commodities.

Petrocon will work with LICA members to implement ConocoPhillips lubricants as the primary national vendor. ConocoPhillips is the 4th largest oil company in the world. President and founder of Petrocon Corporation, Joseph D. Giovinazzo, said, “ConocoPhillips is a class leader in the manufacture of high quality base oils to the lubricants industry. We are excited to work with ConocoPhillips in this effort.” Mr. Giovinazzo goes on to add, “LICA members will benefit tremendously with our value program to provide high quality lubricants and cost saving solutions that will achieve as much as 20% savings to LICA members nationally.” Further, Mr. Giovinazzo explains, “LICA is a quality trade association with members that are excited about our program. They have not had extensive training or knowledge in the area of fluid application and maintenance programs in the past. Our extensive expertise in providing training programs and analysis programs will help LICA members enhance their preventive maintenance efforts.” Mr. Giovinazzo concludes, “This industry could use every bit of help saving money in these tough economic times. Petrocon is a perfect avenue for LICA members to achieve this effort with the help of our supplier network.”
