Ed Thomas Joins Empowered Benefits in Newly Created Role of Vice President of Distribution

The former Unum national sales leader brings 30 years of BenAdmin experience to growing Software as a Service (SaaS) company.

Thomas is assuming the newly-created role of vice president of distribution, in which he will develop and maintain strategic partnerships with benefits brokers and consultants on a national level. Most recently, Thomas served as National sales leader, voluntary benefits, for Unum.

“I’ve known Ed for 25 years. At this critical juncture in Empowered Benefits’ growth, it is the right time to bring him aboard to help us continue to push forward. Thomas’ benefits experience has included work with Unum, Provident Life & Accident, Jefferson-Pilot Life, and Pilot Life. A Charlotte native, Thomas graduated from Guilford College in Greensboro.
